For this photograph I have put the light source behind the subject, that is why the background is so bright and the subject is lit through the reflection from the mirror which I've put on the front-left side of the subject. In this way her face can be lit in a more subtle and indirect way. Here we can see the law "The Angle of Incidence Equals Angle of Reflection".
Laidback//
For this one I have put the light source right in front of the subject, the light is coming from downwards directly onto her face, creating a harsh and sharp effect. And here we can see that "The Light Travels in a Straight Line" because the light source is creating a sharp shadow on the background. Also we can spot "The Inverse Square Law" on the background, where the lower part is brighter and the upper part gets gradually darker, due to the distance to the light source.
